| DivorceCare for Kids is a biblically based, Christ-centered ministry tool
designed to bring healing to children of divorce. It points them to God
and introduces them to a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. It is a
comprehensive 13 - week program designed to run concurrently with the
adult DivoceCare program in our church.
DC4K is a program geared to introduce children to the grieving process that is brought on by the death of their once-intact family. It is a curriculum designed to given children the tools to develop healthier relationships within their own families. It is designed to bring children of divorce into the loving arms of a church family and to feel God's love surrounding them. Some of the topics covered are: What's Happening to My Family, God Loves Children in all Kinds of Families, Facing my Anger, Journey from Anger to Sadness, I am Not Alone, God's Plan for Me, It's Not my Fault, Telling My Parents How I Feel, Forgiveness, Loving My Parents. In each weeks' session, we have an Opening Greeting, watch a 2 DVD's , one DVD is a Kids Like Me DVD Drama, the other DVD is Stories from the Bible DVD, Storybook Time, Small Group Interaction, Snack, Craft, and Closing, all intertwined with music and workbook activities.
